Sound Bath Chicago: What to Expect

If you’re looking for a sound bath in Chicago, the experience is often much more personal than people expect.

Most of the sessions I offer aren’t in big studios or group classes, they’re private, intentional experiences, often held in your home or a space that already feels familiar to you. That changes everything. You’re not walking into something new and trying to get comfortable. You’re starting from a place where you already are.

What a session actually feels like

When I arrive, I take a little time to set up and shape the space. There’s no rush into it. By the time we begin, things feel a bit quieter, a bit more settled.

You’ll get comfortable in whatever way works for you, lying down, sitting, surrounded by blankets or pillows if you’d like. From there, I’ll guide you into the space gently, usually with a short grounding or moment to arrive.

Then the sound begins.

It’s not something you need to follow or understand. It moves around you, sometimes soft and subtle, sometimes more immersive. Most people find themselves dropping in without trying, somewhere between awareness and rest.

We close slowly, giving you time to come back without feeling pulled out of the experience.

What makes this different from a typical class

Because these sessions are private or small-group, everything is a bit more intentional.

There’s room to:

  • move at your own pace

  • bring in a specific intention

  • share the experience with a partner or small group

  • or simply have space that’s fully your own

It’s less about attending something, and more about creating something.

Sound baths for couples, groups, and workplaces

In Chicago, sessions aren’t just for individuals.

I offer sound baths for:

  • couples looking to connect in a different way

  • small groups or gatherings

  • and increasingly, workplace and employee wellness experiences

For businesses, sound baths can be a way to give employees a moment to reset, something grounding, restorative, and actually felt, not just talked about. These sessions can be adapted to different environments, from offices to off-site events.

What you might notice afterward

There’s no single outcome, but many people leave feeling:

  • quieter mentally

  • more present

  • more connected, to themselves or to the people they shared it with

Sometimes it’s subtle. Sometimes it’s immediate. Either way, it’s often one of the few times people allow themselves to fully pause.
